Product Introduction
1、Montmorillonite desiccant is a moisture-proof product made from natural montmorillonite, also known as bentonite desiccant or clay desiccant, with a chemical formula of Al2O3 · 4SiO2 · nH2O. This product has the characteristics of non-toxic, non corrosive, and biodegradable.
A physical adsorption desiccant made from activated, formed, and dried montmorillonite. It is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and odorless, and is a widely used traditional desiccant.
2、principle
The principle of moisture absorption of desiccants is physical adsorption.
① Core material: Montmorillonite is a layered silicate mineral with numerous pores and exchangeable cations between its crystal structure layers.
② Moisture absorption process: Through drying activation, the moisture in the pores of montmorillonite is expelled, forming many microporous structures with strong surface energy. When the environmental humidity is higher than its own humidity, these micropores will strongly adsorb water molecules in the air through capillary action and firmly lock them inside.
③  Stability: After absorbing moisture, the volume expands slightly (but will expand, hence the name "swelling"), and the shape remains basically unchanged.
④ Reversible process: When the environmental humidity decreases, the adsorbed water can be slowly released. More importantly, montmorillonite desiccant can be regenerated and reused by heating (such as 250 ℃ -350 ℃).

    The performance is stable at room temperature, but the moisture absorption capacity decreases at high temperatures (>50 ℃) (this is a common characteristic of physical adsorbents).
    5. Shape stability
    During the moisture absorption process, the shape remains unchanged and will not liquefy, leak or collapse.
    6. Low price
